FRIDAY NIGHT I TRAVELED TO RED LION, PA FOR THE TRAVEL LEAGUE, BOWLED AGAINST BY THE FAR THE BEST BOWLER IN THE AREA, DAVE ZELGER, ACTUALLY ONE OF MY IDOLS IN THE SPORT, AND USED THE NEW ILLUSION AND SHOT 762 AND WON 2 OF 3 GAMES, LOST THE 1ST GAME 228-226, THEN SHOT 279 AND 255.  I GOT THE ONLY 2 POINTS FOR MY TEAM. THE OTHER 4 BOWLERS GOT HAMMERED BY ZELGER'S TEAMMATES.  THE ZELGER FAMILY DOES A GREAT JOB IN RUNNING LION BOWL, ONE OF THE BEST RUNNED CENTERS IN THE AREA. AND HIS SON IS A GOOD FOOTBALL PLAYER ALSO.

DRILLED UP A NEW ROTO GRIP ILLUSION AND WHAT A WONDERFUL LAYOUT, STACKED LEVERAGE WITH THE WEIGHT CLOSE TO THE THUMB AND PITCHED, WHICH ALLOWED THE BALL TO FLARE MORE AND COME OFF OF THE DRY ALOT QUICKER, SHOT 770 WITH IT FRIDAY NIGHT AND 279 WITH IT LAST NIGHT THE 4TH OF DEC. SPENT LAST NIGHT AT THE OPEN HOUSE FOR STORM AND ROTO GRIP AT COLONY PARK NORTH. NICE EXPERIENCE... ONE THING... EVERYTHING DRILLED THERE WAS FOR RIGHT HANDERS EXCEPT FOR A COUPLE JUST DRILLED OVER THE LABEL AND PIN UNDER.....  SO MY 4BALL ARESNAL IS 1-THE STING, 2-SURE STRIKE, 3-MYSTIC AND 4-ILLUSION. LOOKING FORWARD TO THE HOLIDAY SEASON....

I started out well 232-238 and then the dreaded back row boys started to appear. 3-8pins, 2-9pins, a 8-10 split in the whole and 2-10pins, and a couple of strikes for a HUGE 190 game. My friend T.M., the one left hander I do look up to, shot a worse match then i did...

Great News.... Mark Jones and myself won the scratch and handicap doubles event for the county championship.  I also placed 6th and 8th with two other dubles partners. Congrats to Jones for his effort.....

Looking forward to bowling tonight.... Another new pill is being added.... The new roto-grip Illsion.... I did used the Sure Strike and the Sting last night... I did stay and actually work on my release, TM needs to hit the ball later and I need to be a little earlier.... Take care everyone and God Bless.............

Hey what's up crew... Thursday I bowled my worst match in a long time, I threw the ball well, but did not get the carry I deserved... i shot 650 and should have about 700.... So like the "A" typical male I am, I drilled up a fresh pill, the Sure Strike from Lane Masters.... and boy, I am glad I did.... that ball does not react as hard as the Sting but strong than my favorite ball the Mystic.... i proceed to shot 728 with it at Lincolnway, one of the tougher centers for me.... So Sunday I bowled in again with it thinking it was a fluke that I would like the reaction of that ball, WELL.... i was wrong, shot another great match, 721.... Starting to like the Lane Master balls... This week is the bIg King of the Hill tournament at Colony Park North on Wednesday night, last year the finals wrapped up around 4am on Thanksgiving morning...but oh what fun the tournament is.... Also... I bowl Friday travel league at East Lincoln.. So will keep everyone updated.... HAPPY THANKSGIVING>>>>>>>>>

This past weekend was up and down for this left hander. Friday night I lost my first game in the traveling league since the very first game of the year. I ended up with 696 after a 196 first game. the second game was 222 and third game 278.  Saturday I shot 684 in the county tournament for singles and sunday I shot 703... BUt the best match was saturday afternoon, Mark Jones and myself shot 1527 to take a commanding lead in the USBC county tournament. I used my new pill--- the STING from LANE MASTERS.... and my great stand-by ball the MYSTIC...... with this win, it gives me 5 straight years i have either won or placed second in doubles in the county tournament with 5 different partners.... IF you live in or around the York or Harrisburg, PA area... stop in at Bowlers' Supply in York... they have the best ball drillers in the state... Matter of fact, a number of the kids from the Penn State team has been coming down and getting work done by Terry Miller, a local PBA member and I think the best left hander in the area....  So stop in and say Hi to Bret and Don for bowling needs......

OH, I forgot... i shot 747 on Thursday night using the Sting the first two games and the Bash the third game.... and lost 3 out of 4 brackets....

My next tournament will be the Thanksgiving Eve King of the Hill at Colony Park North.... it starts at 11pm and ends up at about 4am... last year I finished second... I have not finished out of the money in the last 5 years and 6 out of 7 years.....  spots are still open you can call 717-848-6262 and ask for Maria or Brad... spots are limited... they have sold out the last 4 years...
